Eating out

We all like to enjoy good food when someone else does the cooking, serving and cleaning up, but how often do you come across a restaurant or cafe whose food and service really impresses?

As a result of my own experiences (good and bad) of eating at local food establishments, I have begun to compile a list of places I consider to have good food standards, fresh and tasty dishes, and just as importantly, friendly service.

The following restaurants or cafes passed my 'high standards' with flying colours and received ticks in the following areas: Hygiene and food safety standards Welcome and service Decor and ambience Market fresh wholesome food Tasty and satisfying dishes Use of good fats (e.g. olive oil and butter)
